I'm so glad that I have been able to follow such a successful coach and program since I was a small child. My father kept me up the night UNLV beat the brakes off Duke when Hurley had to run to the bathroom to diarrhea way back in the early 90's. I stayed up a year later when, pardon the expression, "down goes Frasier" UNLV and the the greatest team that never was lost whil Tark ate a handful of towels. God bless him.
Laettner was king. Hurley was a prince. Grant Hill was a Hercules.
I watched him will Arkansas to the brink and at 10 years old feel the feeling of defeat in the pit of my stomach. I walked around with it for days. I liked it because my dad is my hero.
Now I don't know about what's going to happen with Duval or Knox or Bamba. If I had a druthers I would keep Frank 3 years. That's foolish to say out loud, bit I love his talent. Grayson Allen is far away the one guy that exceeded any expectations I ever had. Wisconsin knows what time it is because of him. Hell with Dana O'Neil. She lambasted a kid pursuing a dream to her own reward and can find another outlet to gain readers. Good riddance.
This year, I hope Carter is what I think will be a guy that leads from day one. More importantly, Bolden gets burn. He better show up though. Bolden is strong and Carter is able to adjust, then the frontcourt is set with bench minutes from AV and Delaurier.
I hope Jack White is as under the radar nasty bballin Ausiie as I wish him to be.
Guards will play at Duke. As long as they are physically able to stop or reduce the number of dribble drives, I will be happy.
Thank you and God Bless. I love Duke and I hope you do, too.
