"Breakout Star of the Tournament" designation not what it used to be

Seems like a good fit for that offense but odd because

1) St. Peter's has been a better program than Bryant and just had a better season than Bryant even before the tourney run (15 seed vs Play-in game)

2) Going to a lesser conference (MAAC to America East)

3) Probably has seen the last of the NCAA Tournament with Vermont there.

4) If another coaching opportunity opened up this offseason, the Bryant coach would leave in a heartbeat.

Didn't think he'd be a Power 6 player but maybe A-10 level.

Agree on all your points. Don’t understand the “why” at this point. If he went to a Hofstra or Fordham, I’d get it. Not basketball powerhouses but seen as better conferences.
Bryant? Won’t hear about the kid again.

1) Does the past season matter when their head coach is gone and most, if not all players from St Peters are ine the portal?

3) you could say the same thing about St Peters with Iona in the MAAC. They never faced Iona in the MAAC tourney and lucked into winning when Rider knocked off Iona
4) Like Holloway did? St Peters still has not named a coach.

Good luck to him at Bryant.

Is this to say something about how unstable the St Peters Admin (and JC politicians) has been by living off the work of the players and coaches that they been too busy looking for a coach while going to parades and getting ready for Peacock Day at Yankee Stadium?

Yes, you certainly will. Edert's first 12 point, 6 rebound game, and there will be some here who will rehash the Pike "miss".

Its not just the past season. St. Peter's has been a better program for the last 10 years in a superior conference to the NEC.

I'll take my chances with Iona on the boardwalk than at Vermont despite all the titles Iona has won. If Dougie is relying on Maine knocking off Vermont, good luck.

I understand leaving St. Peter's but there are other programs that are more stable and play at a higher level to showcase talents for a pro career.

Also to add to my prior points, Bryant on and off the court was pretty disgraceful last season with the conduct on campus before and during the NEC championship game and multiple incidents on the court, particularly in the LIU game.

Teams leaving the NEC have not had much immediate success in other leagues. Robert Morris was the top dog in the NEC and now can't really get out of the basement of the Horizon. Quinnipiac still hasn't won the MAAC and Monmouth never won a MAAC title after many, many years there before bouncing. Even UMBC took like 15 years to win in the America East.

He’s not going pro, and he isn’t a top recruit. Maybe he actually just likes the school, has a good friend there, or had a relative go there. Kids transfer for all kinds of reasons.

Please point me to someone who said Pikiell should recruit him.
The very first post of this thread got me triggered...called it a "huge miss". Upon further inspection, OP has some # emojis that I didnt pick up on. My bad on the missed sarcasm . But first 12 pts, 6 rebound game, someone will mention it.
