I think his redshirt was effectively burned when Ogbole being done for the season was announced.
I know five years was talked about but I thought the plan was to redshirt Dortch. Pike says he’s burning it because of EO
In April the NCAA will be approving a 5 to play 5 rule, thus doing away with red shirts
There’s literally a whole thread here asking for him to play and a bunch of folks saying it’s not in the kids best interest to burn his redshirt. It’s not like the April rule is common knowledge
Understood but you either had to better assess the kid in practice or coach him up better in practice. To put him in for three mins seems useless

Nobody is staying anywhere for 5 years anymore anyway so redshirting anyone is dumb even if the rule wasn't changing

Burning the redshirt was the right move. Expecting 3 min to be the normal was always unrealistic
