The kid is a big-time center from Steve's home town. It appeared to be a race among Rutgers,Iowa,UConn and Auburn. He is a 2022. And then Michigan extended an offer last Friday and the dynamic has shifted. He is now officially a Michigan lean. There is certainly reason to be optimistic about Mark Armstrong, even with a Nova offer. He could step in and start. Also a 2022

Elite programs like Michigan can cherry pick the best recruits and wait longer to extend an offer.

That is someone that RU offered but hometown or no hometown, it would be highly unlikely RU would pull Clingan away from UConn, let alone a Michigan or other newer offers.

There are more attainable bigs that are more viable for RU in 2022. We already have Cliff in the fold and my guess is he is going to take another 2 seasons to become a legitimate next level big man (someone that gives RU 12 and 8 to 10 rebounds and solid defense for 27 to 29 minutes a game.

I think he had a recruit (Todd?) for this year who wound up getting a significant offer to be on the development team in the G league. He can certainly bring in talent.
