Looked him up. 6’7 kid from Detroit who can score, rebound, shoot free throws and 3 pointers well. Only p5 schools interested so far are Rutgers and Maryland per Rothstein. Averages about 10 ppg and 5 boards.

Red flag however is his next school will be his 3rd. Initially went to Utah and then transferred to UNLV last year and he got hurt in February and missed remainder of year with I think knee ligament strain.

Articles say he wants to start. Even if he sat out -- starting still wouldn't happen here.

This kid was late to at least 10 practices this year supposedly . Sounds like a headache ; wouldn’t want to add him to our chemistry

At some point you have to start piling up talent. Chemistry only goes so far. Good coaches know how to integrate talent and make the pieces work.
I have no doubt Pike and RU coaching staff would make this work. He seems like an ideal replacement for what we lose in Yeboah.
Yes please.:CHOP:

The best option at forward behind Ron and Caleb right now is Oskar who came in in January. Not sure if he's ready to take all of Kwasi's minutes. Behind that we'll have Dean and Mawot as true frosh, so it wouldn't be a total surprise to bring in another forward, unless the plan is for some combination with three guards for maybe a third of the game or Mamadou with Myles shifting to forward for a spell here and there. Only see this transfer playing out is if the plan is to redshirt both Dean and Mawot, because although they played with a nine man rotation last year, there were three true forwards in the group and this year the team will be a little bit different losing Kwasi.

It's not as simple to pencil Oskar into the rotation because he was here since the Spring Semester. Mawot may be ahead of him simply because of the competition he faced and Mawot will surprise people when you see how he fits into Pike's system. I think both will see time early in the season to see what they bring to the table. Their play will determine who gets more minutes.

I love competition for every position. As long as our guys are all in on the team concept we will be fine. Last season was a fine example. Our guys got along so well together all the time. This is all because of the way Pikiell and our entire staff treats the entire team.

Why do you think that all of Akwasi’s minutes are going to one player? Or all of his minutes are going to Oskar? It doesn’t work that way.
