That thought process doesn't apply to ex-wives, ask most any ex-husband
It’s far more likely that it’s Ohtani and not his friend. Bookies don’t extend millions of dollars in credit to a guy that makes a few hundred grand.

Yep, you don't wire 4 million plus to an illegal bookie for a friend. I really believe if it was his friend doing the betting that friend would have just used a legal sports book at a casino.
MLB and the Dodgers are going to do whatever they have to do to save this guy and cover it up. Also they need to free this guy.
Problem is that I don't think that his creditors are going to allow him to defer his debts to 2033 like his piece of **** franchise did

The only way the MLB actually investigates this is if public pressure gets real loud and even then, unless it’s an independent investigation I wouldn’t trust itMLB and the Dodgers are going to do whatever they have to do to save this guy and cover it up. I said it in the thread early this week or last when this came out. No way his interpreter is the one gambling with Ohtani’s money without input from ohtani. Ohtani, call Pete, don’t take MLB’s offer.

Baseball is questionable in how it treated Rose and how it let everybody else skate, among other crimes against the sport. It's not like he juiced or anything or took anything illegal.
One thing to note is that gambling is pretty illegal in Japan almost universally, except Pachinko parlors which are kind of a cultural thing (like an adult Chuck E Cheese of sorts).
So it’s something about American culture that could have suckered in either Ohtani or the interpreter.
As far as Ohtani, I’d hope he’d be smart enough to not bet on MLB. If he did and its proven, it could get messy. If he didn’t, I don’t really care either way…..illegal bookie or not.

im scared to death he does.... that's gonna suck if it is him.... he single handedly got me caring about MLB for the first time in about 20 years....
MLB also needs to officially investigate the condition of the space bar on every keyboard in the PR department.
