Let's assume 3-4 down the stretch, that's 997. Further assume one win in the BET. That leaves her needing two more. Ironically, her chances are better if we miss the NCAA's and wind up in the WNIT - which at the start of the year, we'd all have been happy with.

This has been like two seasons in one and I liked the first one better. If that team returns, she still has a shot to reach 1000 this year but little has happened lately to suggest that will happen.

I was thrilled with the start, but Maryland twice and OSU. Sorry headed for WNIT. Lack of offense bothers people. Maryland scored 99 points the other day.

At the risk of getting banned, You have no idea what you’re talking about. Your comments are ridiculous. And you never visited during the 17 wins. Go away.
I watched the games in the B10 and they do not look good.Foul shooting stinks,3 point point is poor.I did not image that.

Expect more like the poster you replied to, one showed up before this one after hiding out when things looked good
When the RU Women's Team does well , they hide.
When the team looks pretty good, they hide under a rock until they find something to use against Stringer , the team or both.

There are some posters right now that are complaining because of the losses, but they also posted during the wins and shared the enjoyment of seeing a winning RUWBB program and hoped to see CVS get to 1000 as quickly as possible.
Those posters are true fans that stick with RUWBB through thick and thin.
But the ones that just post when things are looking bad,
deserve our scorn because we know they have a problem with RUWBB and don't want to see it win.
If they wanted RUWBBto be a winner, they'd share the enjoyment when it's winning .

my pet peeve is posters that just come to complain , but refuse to complement when that's deserved.

its a free board, if there was not negativity posted after losses, the board would be barren

nothing wrong with complaining after losses. But if that's all you do and refuse to post after wins, that type of poster needs to be pointed out and complained about.
Knock the team all you want when things are going bad, but be willing to throw in some praise when things are looking good.
Everyone has a right to express their opinion and my opinion is those who just post to knock a RU need to be pointed out.
Could be, for one reason or another, they are not fans of the program they put down.

You asked if she hits 1000 this year and I say no way. As the Dodgers used to say Wait Till Next Year. Sorry.

How do we go from 17-3, top-15 team, top-5 RPI, big wins against great SOS, close loss to defending champs, to lose 5 of the next 6 and look like this doing it? How

scoring funk is doing it and I wonder what can change it
Need the equivalent of the FB QB coach. Someone to help CVS institute a better offensive scheme. Against better competition, we don't do the things necessary to have a chance to win. Not having 3 point shooters puts us at a disadvantage.

Same statement has been made ad nauseam for how many years? If it hasn’t happened by now it’s not ever going to happen .

We had as many 3 point fgs as Maryland. They shot 60% from the field.

They probably had a bad night from 3 point range. 3 point shooting is suppose to be a difference maker. When you lose by 30 that wasn't the problem. How many times do we enter a game knowing that we have that advantage ? It can help if we have too many TOs. Didn't really look at the final stats, but I think we had about 15 more fga than Md early 4th qtr.

That is correct. Their fg% was nearly 60 and we shot about 35%. They had 18 turnovers to our 11. They were 7-9 from 3 point range. Stats are weird.

If we win those games and she gets to 1000 that would be fitting. But if we fall short, we'll have something to look forward to start next season. A win win.

I seem to recall that CVS doesn't think highly of the NIT (even though she took the big banner a few years ago). I wonder how CVS would feel about winning game 1000 during the 2018 NIT?

I'm going to guess that somebody reminds her that 1000 wins is an amazing and rare accomplishment no matter what tournament she wins the 1000th one in.

I think Hobbs might think getting the 1000 this season would be best for all concerned and Vivian seems to have relented on her WNIT aversion because she brought RU to it twice recently, in 2013-14 and 2015-16. 2014-15 was a NCAA team
