Aren't we already a local TV boon to the B1G....the rights were secured before we even played our first game....everyone claimed that's what its all about...after all we don't give away diplomas like some unnamed ACC school did.Do you think harboring a child rapist in a program had them reconsidering membership?

Delaney's still on board. But it's clear we need to clean up our act.
"It might be a fun read that the Big Ten has remorse, but it's somewhat irrelevant," Delany said. "I can't name an institution during my (26-year) tenure that has not had a serious personnel or ethical issue at one point. These are high-profile situations with lots of exposure. I wish we never had any of it at our schools, but I'm realistic."

Does how our woman's Soccer team have a real chance at the big 10 championship?
TROOOF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!From the article:
This "Floodgate" scandal has been ugly, but Rutgers has not cornered the Big Ten market on embarrassment. In August alone, Minnesota's athletic director resigned amid numerous sexual harassment allegations and Illinois fired its football coach over charges of mistreatment of players.
Go back a little and you'll recall Ohio State flushing ethics down the toilet to win a Sugar Bowl, gross academic misconduct at Minnesota and the worst of them all, the Jerry Sandusky scandal at Penn State.
So, as Rutgers fans should rightfully be embarrassed, we aren't unique.

You're just nutty. The ACC has fSU and UNC which if you ask me, are bigger embarrassments than us. The B1G is tradition personified. We may not "fit" "competitively quite yet, but we'll get there.I personally thought it was a big mistake to join the B10 conference. I've been consistent with that thought since the idea of getting an invite began to circulate. I've always been a big advocate of the ACC because I felt we had much more in common with those schools. Also, think about what Rutgrs had to endure, inherit and into years answer some tough questions. To me it's not a question whether Delaney regrets his decision it will come down to did Rutgers make the right move?
This post has been rejected on the basis of making fun of the academic integrity of football players, while not doing so in a remotely cogent manner. The problem is not Rutgers. It is bringing minor league masquerading into an academic institution.
I have to laugh when people go out of their way to look for answers when it is right in front of you.
The coaches are not professors and athletes are not scholars. They should not be in college.
Until that is fixed, you will always have this problem.

I much rather play FSU, Pitt, Cuse, Georgia Tech, Miami, Duke and Louisville. I fully understand that academically they don't measure up but from a football perspective they would provide a more exciting atmosphere. You're just nutty. To be completely honest I think Duke is an excellent University. The point to my post is that I'm happy to be in the Big Ten but I would have preferred if we got an invite to the ACC. I respect all conferences for what they bring to the table. To me personally the ACC provides a more exciting brand of football.Who doesn't Duke "measure up" to, academically?
