Does anyone have T-mobile in Starkville?

Beyond tired of Verizon. I’ve done some looking into T-Mobile, and their 5G extended coverage blows away the map for Verizon and ATT and from what I can tell, CSpire. I realize 5G extended is not the same as 5G ultra and only marginally better than 4G LTE.
So does anyone know how well T-mobile works here?
Also, someone tell me my family is not the only folks who can’t get data service at basically anywhere on highway 12 (or La Terraza or Oby’s). Don’t know if it’s because we don’t pay for the “premium” plan or not.

What has happened to Verizon lately? I’ve always had great service until lately. It’s become as bad as ATT.

This was three or so years ago but I tried to switch to t mobile. In town service was fine. You get a hair outside the city limits and your phone became a paper weight. Even driving back from Jackson on 25 I would lose service completely. I went back two days later and dropped them. I've heard it has improved since but I can't verify.

I was told that the 5G bandwidth that t-mobile got is on the lower end of the frequency and supposedly its better for getting signal through walls and other obstacles. Not sure if that is true or bot and I don't have a 5G phone yet

I have Verizon and I get good service but its a high bill every month. I get 5 bars of 4g at work so I'm leery of changing providers. But I would love a cheaper bill

Looking at cellmapper.net this is still pretty much the case. I did the same as you. Switched to them, lost signal every time I got out of town or off the interstate, switched to Verizon within a month.

I've had AT&T living in Brandon and Starkville last 8 years and only time I have any trouble at all is football game days on campus, otherwise, best service I've had since getting my first cell phone in 1988
