Carlos Ro'don, the Chicago White Sox pitcher who missed perfect game last nite. He took it into the 9th inning only to lose it to a hit batter with one out in the ninth. However, the no hitter remained intact and was accomplished. Must be tough on the pitcher to miss out on the perfect game under those circumstances.

I’m happy for him. He’s had a rough career so far, but he’s finally healthy and looks like the stud he was in college.

I heard a White Sox beat reporter say before the season he thought Rodon and Dylan Cease were going to have better years than Lynn. It doesn’t seem so crazy right now (at least for Rodon).

I have played Rodon in DFS each start this season. I’m afraid that cat is out of the bag though.

If you know that guy's history, it makes this an even greater story.

I watched the last inning of it. When he hit the guy, he kinda barked at him for not moving out of the way. It was a back foot slider that hit the guy on, well, the back foot. He almost hit the next batter too.

That said....complete game, no hitter, shutout, and almost a perfect game. And on 112 pitches or something like that. Tremendous outing for that guy. And a helluva play by Abreu to keep the perfecto in tact in the ninth.
