The Hoosiers burned brightly and then burned out, in a 76-69 Big Ten tournament loss to Rutgers on Thursday. They led 24-8 after 12 minutes. Rutgers dug in, came back, took the initiative and never let it go. And a season that began ugly for Indiana ended the same way.
“The tougher team won tonight,” IU coach Archie Miller said.
