It is awful something like that happened. It's awful to all involved. The one thing in life that no one is fully prepared to deal with is parenthood. There is no instructional manual. One moment is the highest of highs, the next the lowest of lows. The range of emotions, the lack of proper rest, the feeling of not having any support and being alone with a task that is the most daunting any of us can ever undertake, you never know how that will manifest itself. Bringing my son home was probably the scariest thing in my entire life. There's a reason to wait until you've had a chance to grow up yourself and experience life. Make sure the support system around you is solid.

I pray for the baby, the mother and Tavarreon.

It appears (ME report) that there were healing rib fractures from a previous injury. Her 42 days were filled with much suffering. I hope the perpetrator never enjoys another day as a free man.

Saw that too. This doesn't appear to be a one time "I lost it" deal. About as horrific of a crime as I can recall considering the age of the infant and what appears to be repeated severe abuse.
