Is Bland second guessing his commit to NU and looking to go to another school or will he sign and play for NU?
I agree we should still be after him. Looks like he picked up a Texas offer today, fwiw.Nebraska has soured on him since he cant enroll in January. He is looking for another home bc NU may not take him. I personally think we should take him even if its summer unless they have a grad transfer OL stud we are taking
He’s probably going to decommit from NUI agree we should still be after him. Looks like he picked up a Texas offer today, fwiw.
Long season...week 1 starter would be tough..starter by week 4 or 5 still valuable. Gotta have depth on OL. You think he is likely a week 1 starter at Texas? Texas still wants him.I strongly doubt he was going to start this year being a summer arrival. So he MIGHT have been a starter one year.
I don't think it matters when he arrives, the guy has a ton of talent, and has the ability to play multiple positions where we have a lot of question marks. It would be very short sighted not to take him just because he might not make it until summer.I strongly doubt he was going to start this year being a summer arrival. Maybe the staff is cooling on JUCOs after most of the ones they brought in last year didn't do anything.
I watched his film. The dude explodes off the ball and is very strong. He's everything you could want in an offensive lineman. How do you know he is very talented? Have you seen him go against other D-1 type talents? Or are you just basing off a website ranking? I remember when Greg Bell was "extremely talented ".
Completely disagree. A lot of our best players over the past decade were jucos. I'd much rather take a juco over a grad transfer. Usually the only reason you would grad transfer is if you have no chance to see the field at your current school and most grad transfers you only get for one year.Kids go JUCO for a reason and whatever that reason may be it usually runs contradictory to a winning culture. I hope Bland and Mills are at a point where they are ready to be D1 players and students or I hope they go somewhere else.
