Deshawn Freeman

I really hope we can land Deshawn. I read where he had major surgery on his knee when in high school and that his old brother, Gregory was shot and killed while he was sitting in a car in Rocky Mount, NC. Deshawn had things really tough for a while. I would love to have him at Rutgers. He seems like a great guy and he is so unselfish on the court. He makes some nice passes and has some very good moves near the basket. The assistant coach at Hutchison stated that Rutgers is working by far the hardest on Deshawn. It would be nice if this would pay off. Why do the good guys often come up last. Maybe we can get lucky this time. We really could use some positive news. Why not us?

Its hard to recruit when you have nothing to sell .Immediate playing time seems to have no resonance.

Art, seems like this would be a good get. I wish we would get freeman too. For some reason,I don't see us getting him at this point. I think he gets a lot of teams going after him soon. Ej needs to make things easier on himself and recruiting next year and get more wins. Until we get wins, these are going to be a hard sell. Like we all don't know that though.
