If a CU starts a fight, let’s see how that goes with the other team. Anyone wanna place a bet that when a key player for CU gets hurt doing that Sanders will have a story to memory hole this current story line.

Seems like you should have a 4th string walkon pick a fight with a CU player on the first play from scrimmage and see how many CU players you can get tossed.

2 years max. What a crazy dysfunctional fit for Boulder. Hopefully they will start several fights with us and draw a bunch of personal fouls. #discipline

He said “if one of us fights, we all fight” and got pissed at the kids who turned their backs on their teammate

Do people actually disagree with that sentiment?

CU = gangsta culture.

The Huskers need to be well-drilled in not retaliating to any BUFF BS. Let them get penalized & tossed out of the game. Let their student section get cleared. We'll walk away with a W.

So every time 2 players get heated in practice and come to blows you want a full-scale brawl?

You protect your teammate but don’t actively seek out someone to fight, this ain’t the replacements, there is a tomorrow for them.

Haven't we lost enough games with poor coaching and ill timed personal fouls etc?? Let's straighten up and fly right.

I agree, all you're gonna do is hurt your team.
Bingo. Any coach with a lick of sense is going to discourage all fighting since it only tends to draw penalties and ejections. You teach your guys to keep a level head and to be emotionally disciplined enough to keep your eye on the prize: winning games. 90% of the time it is the kid who retaliates who gets flagged, not the kid who initiated the fight.

I get what Prime is trying to do here. Creating passion, camaraderie, and an “us vs. the world” espirit de corps. But there are better ways to build team chemistry than to encourage the whole team to enter a brawl should one player get into a fight.

Oh wait… it was just last week that Prime said he didn’t give a **** about team chemistry. So maybe all he is trying to create here is a thuggish team that tries to win via intimidation.

The dude is a clown.

Big surprise. And oh boy I cant wait for the pearl clutching by Deion, his team and the sCUm fans when they do act like thugs.

(And people start calling out their BS)

So on one hand, he doesn't care about team chemistry and if his players like each other. On the other hand, he expects them to all defend and fight for one another.

Yeah, those two things aren't in opposition at all. 🙄

A better coaching move would be to teach the big white OL 68 to not be a douche nozzle and start a fight with the smaller DB after the RB had already crossed the goal line.

What happens in a real game is that there is a 15 yard penalty for a late hit, potentially another 15 yarder for unsportsmanlike (fighting), maybe an ejection, and you just gave the opposing team an opportunity to receive a kickoff 15-30 back. But hey, one fight we all fight sounds so much tougher

This coming from Deion who was terrified of contact. Best cover corner, but such a ***** in the run game.

Not the point (typical).

He was yelling at the players who turned their backs on their teammate.

I believe if the “one fight all fight” sentiment came from our camp it would be universally lauded, given how little fight our very soft team has shown in 6 years.

Meh, I'm not seeing the problem with what he said. Fights happen in football. Often times in practice. You should back your teammates when they do. Maybe it's because I've actually played football, which some of you clearly haven't. Or maybe it's because I don't have Deion insecurities, which some of you clearly do. But seems like a pretty lame thing to get your panties all wadded up about. If I were picking nits, it would be that sCUm has some pussies on their team who won't even back their own teammates in a fight.

But I thought they were all "fond of one another, and he didn't care if they liked one another???" "The only thing that matters is we make harmony when the balls in the air..." "Culture doesn't matter..." "blah blah blah..." LOl, this dude is all over the place with his rhetoric....

Hilarious the little Coach Prime fan club has managed to collectively do the mental gymnastics to convince themselves this is perfectly fine and normal. And that anyone that doesn’t see it hasn’t played football or is insecure about the coach for CU. Just Amazing.

No we just think some of you would make horrible teammates.

Good teammates don’t do **** that hurts their football team. Good leaders teach players how to be mentally strong and not fake *** tough guys.

Yeah cause it's always your teammate that starts it. Good fckn grief...lol

Who cares who “started it”, what are we talking about, Elementary kids? It’s usually the guy that retaliates that gets penalized. Good teams and good players don’t get wrapped up in that nonsense, and good coaches don’t encourage it. It’s a football game, not an ally behind a bar.

Zac Taylor today on the McAfee Show:

"we preach that fighting is a penalty during games, but we understand it's camp and guys want to get it out of their system.

We practiced with the Packers and had two fights. The guys took care of each other and we had two great practices."

...

"we might not have had any fights my first two years here, so it might be a good thing that we've gotten in a few, last year with the Rams and this year with the Packers."

grow up, folks. I very much hope our camp hasn't been without a scuffle or 3.

How many people need to get involved in a lineman fighting some dude way smaller? They are on the same team.

I don't think it's a big deal but if you are concerned your team doesn't have each other's backs than I don't think yelling at them is really going to matter.

I look at it 2 ways. Either players are now going through the motions of acting like they care or players get all amped up and over react. I don't see how either benefits the team.

I wouldn't be applauding kong.
