I'm going to make one of my famous predictions and I predict Austin Dakota will be back opposite of Jordan Thomas. Austin played the gauntlet of our schedule last year and he was a surprising replacement for Sanchez. I just can't believe he has back slide to the third team. Parrish and Quick seem to be the guy's we will go to first, but don't be surprised to see the sure tackling Austin finish the game.

I saw one prediction where Will Johnson will slide over with Doucet replacing him as the starter at nickel . Doucet played really well last week and we all know Johnson is capable. This will be the positions that are key to the game IMO.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure why Johnson got pulled but he's one of our better DBs. I think Dakota Austin is our best option across from Thomas. And Thomas needs to wake up out there. He looks like he's going through the motions, not expecting to be thrown at often.

I thought Doucet, Kelley and DeBerry all played well, but from what I saw, put in DeBerry and let him take his lumps. Dude is gonna be a stud.

We need all the DB's to step up soon. Besides Cobb and Austin, Sunderland, Motley, Haughton, Mbanasor are highly recruited players that need to provide solid depth in a hurry.
And where is Prentice McKinney and Jordan Parker ?

That's because he hasn't been thrown at. He's basically shutting down his side. Houston went opposite of him and ripped apart Austin. Austin has good coverage skills but doesn't possess the speed to 'catch up' once a WR beats him.

Not giving up at all. My point is that these younger d-backs need to step up quickly given the tough early schedule.!

I hope the D-line and LBs stop their running game and put so much pressure on Barrett that the DBs are taken out of the equation until they pull down a couple of INTs!
