A lot more man blitzing than what we saw last week. Glad Tony White put some trust in those young guys in the secondary and got after them. Yeah, it’s Purdue, but if they sit back in zone all day this games a lot closer.

We played much better for sure. But I was disappointed at how ineffective many of our blitzes were
They got plenty of pressure but Purdue’s QB was great at slipping out. Plus their RB did a good job picking up the blitz, he bought his QB a couple extra seconds several times.
So strange last week D looks anemic. O carries the team. This week O is bad and D looks nice.

O bad? I think the O did ok. One called back on an incorrect call. Ej closed it out and is looking to take the top spot. Barney is starting to take over games. Gottula held up. Dylan handled his first "road" game.
So what. First road game. First road game for a true freshman QB. When is the last time this team started 4-1. Nobody thinks Purdue is good. But we have been bad for along time. Have to start somewhere.
It’s more about how the defense became aggressive again like last year. They’re going to need to take chances like they did today in order to win anymore games.
