One of Older guys shot a 300 Bear a couple of weeks ago. Had to drag it a pretty far ways. He has pictures of the Bear where he dropped it, and where he hung it, then where he skinned it. The stew we had last night he said was beef but.... I am not sure about that!

I never have deer hunt but I do fear them driving at night just hit the rear end of one once and my car was never right again.
Driving home tonight from TN saw a bunch grazing like cattle in someone's big yard.
Driving in Bakerville the other day one little back road to my apartment two on one side two on the other even rolled down my window and yelled some to one and she just looked at me then kept eating.
They're everywhere so shot away.

I had to pass on one this morning twice. He kept coming by to give me his application but he didn't meet the requirements for the job.
My line has always been young ones trying to commit suicide by hunter…

Was good either way. I think might had some Bambi in it.

Well I have killed 3 for meat but it’s big bucks from here in out …. I’m close too … I have hunted 10 for the last 14 days and can’t hardly walk I’m so sore (3.2 miles up hill both ways) …. I’m giving it 7 more days straight.

Up hill both ways. That is dedication to walk that far. Can't imagine dragging one that far

Dedication…. Or stupidity 😂. I really have to get into what I call “gamelands shape” before November. I start running in October but I cut trees so I stay in pretty good shape.
No dragging at this spot it will be a pack out with help of a couple sons. They always help the old man get my bucks out without them I probably couldn’t do it

Glad your boys help you. I have one in Philadelphia now. Miss having him around especially this time of year. Made a lot of memories with my daddy, me and him over many deer seasons. Now my daddy is gone and oldest boy only here few days a year. Still have those memories though.

Fried squirrel with gravy or fried rabbit with anything is my desired meal. Only slightly a head of fried whole catfish. Can't use too big of a gun though, especially with those catfish! LOL

Ok. We tailgating and having fried squirrel and squirrel gravy.
I love rabbit but it has been many years since I had any. My ex-wife's Mom used to fi it when her husband caught a rabbit. They have both passed away and have not had any since. I've never tried squirrel.

Bowhunter, if you take a 22 silenced rifle with you on your early morning deer hunts, you could get us some squirrels as well as a 10 point buck. We would all be happy and would join you for a Buck roasting cookout.
A silenced 22? Man if you far enough out in the country like me you don’t need a silencer… just carry a stick because they all come up to you while in a deer stand.
