After reading Sean's update I am extremely confused why they kept trotting Cerni out there if he's still suffering from an injury.

Did literally anyone actually bother with special teams this year, or did they just ignore it entirely until game time?

They didn't keep trotting him out there late in the season. The options weren't great there. Prrzzzztup or whatever his name is, was just so inconsistent and couldn't directional kick to save his live. IF Cerni said, "yeah coach I can punt" then you keep him in the mix. I don't even think we had a walk on punter. We've lost several walk on punters and kickers to smaller schools over the past few years. Cole Frahm is the starting kicker for SDSU and doing a really nice job for them.

Prystup pretty much took over the kicking til the final couple games. I’m not sure why you’re so butt hurt?

He is a Aussie. They are tough SOBs. He probably would have punted from an iron lung if given the chance.

Because he was hurt and they played him. I thought I made that obvious.
Guys play hurt all the time. It's football. The question to the Dr's always is will it cause more damage or long term problems if he plays with this injury? If not and if the kid says he can go then you play him if he can help the the team.
