Dan River 9 Tunstall 3 - Final from Dry Fork

The Wildcats opened their season with a 9-3 victory over the Tunstall Trojans. I wasn't there but I know that starting pitchers for both teams were seniors Wesley Thornton of Dan River and Tunstall's Chris Buckner. DR freshman Jake Stewart belted a home run in his varsity debut as DR led 4-2 after 4 1/2 innings. The Wildcats would ended the game with another rally, scoring 5 in the 7th inning. Tunstall got one back in the bottom of the 7th but that's all they would get as Dan River defeated Tunstall on the Trojans' home field.
