Seems everyone is tiptoeing around it. Perhaps suicide or drug-related (or both). Barring an extremely rare undiagnosed medical condition, those are about the only things that make a 27 year old in peak physical shape drop dead without warning.

Couldn't help but bring back memories of Daryl Kile's death. Died of a massive heart attack at like 32 or 33. Amazing that physicals for a pro athlete don't catch that stuff.

Back to Skaggs, with the random drug tests you'd think they'd have an idea if he had much of a drug problem. Hopefully it's not suicide, but sometimes even people living the dream can still be in a very dark place.

Did see a report that he was discovered by hotel staff and was dead when authorities arrived. Suicide not suspected.

Early, yet unverified cause of death is overdose. Would be turning 28 on the 13th.

The local PD said no foul play was suspected a few hours after he was found. I don’t think they’d make that announcement if it was a medical issue, because they’d need to do an autopsy.

Maybe they found a bunch of pain pills by the bed or something.
