How do we feel Class D1 will go the next few weeks? Here are my predictions for sub finals...

D1-1: BDS over Southern (Can we please get the region format for D1 and D2?)
D1-2: East Butler over Mead but it's close
D1-3: Howells-Dodge over Walthill
D1-4: Wausa over LHNE
D1-5: Creighton over Boyd County (Can we please get the region format for D1 and D2?)
D1-6: Fullerton over Riverside
D1-7: McCool over Ravenna
D1-8: Red Cloud over Kenesaw
D1-9: Overton over Elm Creek
D1-10: Twin Loup over South Loup
D1-11: Bertrand over Cambridge
D1-12: NPSP over Maywood

Wildcards: LHNE, Mead, Elm Creek, Plainview

It'll be a good game. A few common solid opponents each team faced.

Both played Plainview twice and won
-Wausa by 10 and by 20
-LHNE by 3 and 14

Both played Elkhorn Valley
-Wausa won by 14
-LHNE won one by 11 and lost one by 8

LHNE plays a heavy C schedule while Wausa is mostly D. Should be a good game.

Wausa was have hard time Friday night playing Bloomfield was only leading by 2 LHNE wins easily

A very hard time, Bloomfield matched up well with them athlete and size wise and made Wausa beat a zone that seemed to change at times. Foul trouble put the Bees away in the second half and the Vikings got hot shooting. Wausa looked scary against Plainview with their outside shooting, and that LHNE vs Wausa game lived up to the hype. I think Wausa shoulda worked their drive and inside game more instead of trying to 3 for 3 with the Eagles. Elm Creek looked very impressive against the Vikes. Not just Oberg but the whole herd of Buffalos. They lose some significant size from their seniors but Wausa should be a tough team next year as well. They do some great culture things in Wausa so I expect them to be in a similar position next season if not Linoln.
