I want to support local places, but just wondering what others are using. I've picked up pizza, but do have some concerns about drive thru of some of the fast food places. Before this all started I had minor concerns with the fast food places and wonder even more now. Are these places making sure the employees aren't sick?

Am I over thinking this and should I just go get the chicken sandwich, pizza or Quarter Pounder?

We're not using any of them. Seems to me like there's a decent chance of restaurant workers being infected, whether they know it or not.

The last time I ate food not prepared in my house was March 16th. I miss all restaurant food, especially pizza. I can't cook pizza like they do in restaurants.

We’ve been fairly heavy on food prepared by others, but now that **** has ramped up significantly here, it’s crossing my mind more an more.

Just a guess, but I would think that something like a pizza, which comes out of an 800 degree oven, straight into a box, would be much safer than an assembly line place like a Chipotle for example.
Being extra cautious, grab the pizza box, put it down on the counter, open it. Wash the hell out of your hands...serve the pizza. Once all the pizza is out of the box, take it to the trash outside, Clorox the counter it was sitting on, wash, wash your hands.

Today was the first day I wore my R95 mask to the grocery store. Won’t be going anywhere else without it for a while. I will say, that most people have no clue how to use PPE and are probably doing more harm than good. I saw a woman at the grocery today, wearing gloves, grab and pick up 2 other peoples deli orders with her dirty gloves till she found hers...of course they had no clue, when they came back. Not to mention, the guy slicing my ham seemed to be sweating a bit, which gave me no comfort. Hope my wife and kid don’t catch it...no,way I’m eating that ham.

The FDA and CDC do not believe the risk of covid transferring on food is anything to worry about.

March 13th was the last time I had food not cooked/prepared at home.

As a family we go out to eat a few times a year and get to-go maybe once every couple months, so it's not much different from usual.
Personally, I am a human garbage disposal and averaged fast food 3x/week for lunch.

We are going to get thai food from our favorite place this Friday. Gonna be great. Sad what I look forward to right now!

We did curbside pick up one time last week just as a (seemingly) low risk excuse to get out of the house for a bit, and it was awful. One thing that doesn’t get discussed much is that all these normally sit-down places that have converted to curbside pick-up only are running skeleton crews with pretty much zero non essential staff members (managers / supervisors / etc) that would normally be responsible for quality control of the prepared items. Not talking about sanitary / anti-virus quality control, just normal **** like not scorching the hell out of faijita meat, etc.

If you’re high risk do curbside, pay over the phone, and request the staff to leave the bag in your trunk. When you get home Lysol the bag and trunk. Wait a min or 2c take your bag inside and enjoy.

When my wife is working (teacher) we get takeout or fast food almost every night. But we’ve cut that back during this. Maybe 2 times a week at most.
