Any reason for Crest fans to be concerned about Ashbrook this week? I know they run a form of offense South Point runs but probably no where near as good. Always seem to have a few really good players.
Crest is settling in. Crest 28 Ashbrook 14This may be one of those games that's close for a half or so but Crest wins it... 34-17
I spoke with Coach Eddins and he explained that Ashbrook is better than their 0-5 record indicates. They have played a tough schedule including AL Brown (4-1),East Lincoln (6-0) Watauga (6-1), Clover(6-0) and just lost a shootout to Forestview(3-3) last week. No cupcakes on that schedule. Ashbrook has a Shrine Bowl player at DB and he also carries the ball some. They run some Wing T and variations of option football. They have some really good players on both sides of the ball. Defensively they have given up a bunch of points this year. Hopefully our defense can slow them down enough so we don't get into a shootout with them. Our offense will definitely score points, just need our D to put them behind the sticks on 1st and 2nd down. JV's play tonight at Crest. Hope to see how the coaches attack their offense.
East Lincoln only lost to North Lincoln by 60 last night.East Lincoln, Watauga, and Forestview?
Really?
You mean until that plain as day cheap shot that’s all over social media? That kid better hope he gets to play the rest of the year. That was dirty.Chargers got to figure out some things on defense Ashbrook moved the ball at will until QB got hurt
First I've heard of this... What happened? You mean until that plain as day cheap shot that’s all over social media? That kid better hope he gets to play the rest of the year. That was dirty.
Look up Joel Hughes from Shelby Star on Twitter. I’m not posting the link and getting in trouble on here. Most links have the kids name.Link?
One of the worst forearm to head blindsides I’ve ever seen. Completely away from the play and the kid from Ashbrook was on the field flopping in pain.First I've heard of this... What happened?
Terrible. I hate to see anything in sports like this esp at the HS level. Prayers to the injured player. One of the worst forearm to head blindsides I’ve ever seen. Completely away from the play and the kid from Ashbrook was on the field flopping in pain.
The play should’ve been flagged and wasn’t necessary but the forearm was to upper chest I watched several times and I dont think there was any contact with helmet. One of the worst forearm to head blindsides I’ve ever seen. Contact from the forearm and shoulder went straight to the facemask and upper chest. Watch the kids head. Kids make mistakes. It was dirty but from my understanding they sent it in to the state. That’s why I said he will be lucky to play. At worst I hope the young man learned something from it. If he plays again that’s fine but learn in the process. The play should’ve been flagged and wasn’t necessary but the forearm was to upper chest I watched several times and I dont think there was any contact with helmet.
Your earlier post clearly says forearm to helmet this post says upper chest to face mask ... make up your mind.... the play was dirty but no contact with facemask or helmetContact from the forearm and shoulder went straight to the facemask and upper chest. The damn facemask is connected to the helmet. His entire head got rocked sideways. What view are you looking at? Even on slow mo it shows it. Elbow comes up and smacks the head or the head would have went straight back. Yes the chest area may have gotten some of it as the arm rubbed off the mask but the video I’m looking at I don’t see just contact to the chest. It was a running forearm to the dome. Hell your the only one I see that said that. Every comment about it has head shot.Your earlier post clearly says forearm to helmet this post says upper chest to face mask ... make up your mind.... the play was dirty but no contact with facemask or helmet
