The blow to Crawford was brutal. Moreira should have been called for a foul on that one.

Sounds like it may be a thrashing, with them not at full strength. Their guards are their weakness, and they are likely going to be a bigger weakness for tomorrow, if somebody doesn't step up..

I can't decide what I think on that one. The announcers sure told us 75 times it was clean and his teammates should have been yelling to warn him.

It definitely happened entirely too fast for anyone to have warned him, though.

Its easy for us to say that. I thought Memphis played only so-so against SMU and they were able to hang in there for a long time. Defensively SMU can be had with good ball movement. You take the ball right at Moreira and Cunningham you make it easy for them to alter shots. Cunningham doesn't move his feet all that well, Moreira is better. Kennedy doesn't really play a bunch of defense when he is in there. Moore is their best on the ball defender but he gets away with a lot of pushing and hand checks that go uncalled. He is adept at stepping in front and throwing his hands up. Any other defender in the AAC gets called for a block or hand check on the same.

What scares me about Memphis is if Nichols gets back on track (he was not last night) and Goodwin shows what he did last night which was something I didn't think he was capable of. TU's D needs to show up and limit the inside stuff and 2nd chance points. I think TU will be able to push the pace and score in transition because from what I have seen, Memphis is not that disciplined in that aspect.

Memphis doesn't have many quality options to begin with in the backcourt. Really hurts them if these two can't go.

Da' boys looked focused, aggreessive & determined
They keep that up, it could B a long night 4 them Tigers

When was the last time TU swept the regular season series w/ Memphis?
U'd have to go back to the 1960's or early 70's I'd guess.

That is always the unknown factor and most often decides closely played games.

Some refs like to make the game more about them than the teams and players - unfortunately.
