It’s not just the sign/logo. They completely changed the dining room aesthetic and decor. Why does anyone give a sh*t about what the Cracker Barrel sign looks like? I wouldn't eat there before, and changing the sign isn't going to change that.
Did you see what their stock did today? Sheesh. The CEO is about to have her butt sent packing.

What they should try is having better service and better food. Both have went down hill the last few years. Changing a logo and the country feel of the restaurant won’t change either of those.Counterpoint: If you look at their stock over the last five years, you understand why they felt a need to try something.

Because usually when things go bland it all goes bland.I am mystified why anyone GAF about this. As long as I can still have my 1300 calorie breakfast on their front porch with my dog on a leash tied to the table leg, I'm good.
Breakfast is good. Why does anyone give a sh*t about what the Cracker Barrel sign looks like? I wouldn't eat there before, and changing the sign isn't going to change that.
And yes....I realize how fat I sound talking about chicken and dumplings with a side of dumplings sounds.Breakfast is good.
And the chicken and dumplings where you get to add extra dumplings as one of your side items is a game changer
Damn, you're just a youngin'.And yes....I realize how fat I sound talking about chicken and dumplings with a side of dumplings sounds.
And I also resemble it as well as I near my 51st birthday at the end of the mon
Eating chicken and dumplings with a side order of extra dumplings has me catching you faster than the calendar shows HADamn, you're just a youngin'.![]()
“Bland” is why I keep a little bottle of Cholula with me all the time.Because usually when things go bland it all goes bland.

Yeah, I don't mean that - sometimes 1300 calories just isn't enough.
Great point“Bland” is why I keep a little bottle of Cholula with me all the time.
You do when you hire the wrong CEO. Look at how much money that same move cost Bud Light. They still haven’t regained the ground they lost. Doubt they ever will.Imo, the food has really gone down in the last 2-3 years. They also did away with the molasses which was great with their biscuits for breakfast. Waitress told me there lots of complaints about that and some other things no longer on the menu. You don't change success.
Other than removing the old guy from their signs, what are they doing that makes their food taste worse?Going from having a personality to dud.
You know? I've never eaten pancakes at a cracker barrel. HmmmmAs long as the pancakes stay the same, I will be there. If some people decide to go elsewhere, it just means less of a wait until I get my pancakes.
The first step should be to stop all food producers from loading everything with sugar. Profits are not the only factor in food and healthcare, well unless you work in those industries, then **** people, it's all about the money.Maybe Cracker Barrel is fighting obesity in America and dissuading people from eating there is a good first step.
Because a significant portion of our population is exceedingly resistant to change.I am mystified why anyone GAF about this. As long as I can still have my 1300 calorie breakfast on their front porch with my dog on a leash tied to the table leg, I'm good.
FIFYBecause a significant portion of our population is exceedingly fat.
Not just the sign, it's a total image rebuild. Gone is the atmosphere that made it popular (let's face it, the food is generally mid to decent at best, except for the dumplings). The why is the biggest concern.Other than removing the old guy from their signs, what are they doing that makes their food taste worse?
I read a couple of articles and they were more click bait than informative, thanks internet and humans, so I really don't get why there might be an outrage.
From what I read the sales have been declining for awhile. That's probably the why.Not just the sign, it's a total image rebuild. Gone is the atmosphere that made it popular (let's face it, the food is generally mid to decent at best, except for the dumplings). The why is the biggest concern.
