He's just not very good. And as I have said over and over, his conditioning isn't there. He gets tired late, and gives up. I am stunned at him and Figs.

I guess we were pretty spoiled from last year's transfers.
Still think Facundo and Ryder can develop in that fashion; it’s the beginning of December and Ryder is a RS Fr.

The portal game is a gamble. Just because guys were good in one environment and system doesn't mean it's gonna automatically be the same in a new environment and system. They thought they needed a 133 and 149 but they probably had those answers in the room already with Ronnie and Jamison. The guys last year did so well they thought why not. Many here were saying the staff didn't like the portal and wouldn't use it yet they did. I dont see them using the portal much in the future they will go with what they've.
It was a calculated gamble at 133 that you take and unless I’m wildly off base, there were not a ton of portal options.

Figs is an anomaly. The year he won the championship he was struggling and almost quit 35 days before he won the national championship.
He's gone through big highs and lows. Need to time out one of those highs for a magical ending to his senior year.

Ronnie Ramirez looks really good.

Swid and Figs are confusing. But both were out from injury last year right? So maybe lumps are just what they need. Or, maybe not.

Figs has always seemed to be an ebb and flow type Wrestler.

When he’s got the hot hand, he is phenomenal. When he’s down, he takes inexplicable losses.

I sure hope he turns into a hot hand, but like Howie mentioned, we don’t have a lot of time for him to figure it out…and the hot hand needs to hit in March.
