I was just thinking that too. Kind of how Oklahoma must feel, always a playoff contender, so this is a consolation.
I don’t see how a major bowl game would be a disappointment when you didn’t win your conference..
It's a lame excuse. Oklahoma has more of a reason to not care about this game, yet they showed up.
Anyone who agreed or understood why we quit on the season and didnt play a bowl game should stay out of this thread or they are a hypocrite.

He was clearly making fun of the SEC and this myth they constantly spread every time they lose a bowl game.

I would have loved to see us playing in a bowl game after missing them for how many years now.. But there wasn’t a damn bowl game worth our while to play in one and December 26 wasn’t realistic...

When you've got millions of dollars or even hundreds of thousands at risk, you mitigate the risk. You stand in their shoes and don't tell me it's about loyalty. I've read plenty of posts on this board about processing players that don't contribute. There is no loyalty with fans or programs. As Nick Saben says"adapt or die".
