I'm pretty sure I saw Oklahoma as high as #8 in team recruiting as recent as Monday. Currently they're sitting at #17.
They took a beating these past couple of days.
Welcome to Nebraska, and I hope you're a difference maker here, but I'm not a fan of these self promo declarations. In today's world of the Transfer Portal I'm surprised any player would want to burn any bridges with a school that was pursuing him hard.
I agree with your sentiments but OK and other schools will build a bridge if he shows elite talent and productivity. The portal is a marketplace and players are, to some extent, commodities.
It’s not that character is now irrelevant; it is (for most programs) deemed worth the risk (except for the most egregious conduct).
You think a school is going to not want him down the road because of how he announced his signing when he was 18? Nobody will care next week.
I highly doubt OU would even care. If he is talented at a spot they need to fill then its water under the bridge. This is a business. Did Kentucky turn Wan'Dale away?
Damn that's cold if he didn't let OU know ahead of time and they were watching. Based on the rumors floating around here I assume they knew.
Sooners aren't hurting for talent, that beat down of Bama showed what they can do, their problem is subpar coaching more often than not.
