I just don’t understand post like this……who cares. Also, nothing to do with RU at least put an OT
Flagg, Ace, and Dylan are head and shoulders above everyone else in 2024
So absent “OT” you were unaware the post was about cooper Flagg ?
Also it’s an active debate whether he vs one of our two recruits are #1. So how exactly do you “not understand” why someone might discuss cooper flag on a message board regarding Rutgers basketball?

Tre Johnson...everone's #4....was on the other team last night. He was good, but IMO you are so right about the top three.
Doesn't look like aces team is doing that well this year but hes still playing like the player he is. Think him and flagg are about even ..
And 2/3 coming to RU…if 5 years ago someone had told me that I would laughed and mocked them harshly.
I don’t really think there is much of a debate, just about everyone who scouts for a living and does draft planning thinks Flagg is far and away number #1. Ace is probably a better pure shooter, but Flagg is a much more physical player, he likes contact and scores through it. He is also a better passer/playmaker. Flagg really gets his reputation from his defense, where several commentators have said Flagg is the best, most disruptive non-center defender they have ever seen in high school. He is a ferocious rebounder, and has lots of games against top competition where he registered 10 or more blocks. Ace is a good defender, but right now he is not in Flagg’s league. It doesn’t mean Ace can’t become better than Flagg over time, and he obvious has a very high ceiling, but right now Flagg is the better player.
McEachern (Ace's team) is 5-2 but those losses are both to very strong opponents. One of the two is ranked #2 in the state. They will be in the state playoffs and have a shot at making a deep run there.
A Rutgers-Duke match-up should be mandatory next season.

This is a rare game I'd be willing to give up a home game at the RAC for a home game at MSG... as long as RU has first rights to tickets.
For example: the game is scheduled for Dec. 7. Tix go on sale to RU hoops STHs on Oct. 15. Tix then become available to RU football STHs Oct. 22. Any tix still available would become available to the general public on Oct. 29.
There are actually scouts that just saw ace for the first time this summer and say it is not that big of a gap between the 2 if any at all. Ace could very well end up being no. 1...Either way doesn't look like flagg is hands down better, two excellent players...
Oh ok, I was saying that because looks like cam boozers team smoked them but I think boozers team is one of those national programs..

This is just not true. Ace has been on the NBA radar for over 2 years. And if we are being honest, at best he is considered the 4th best player in high school, behind Flagg, AJ Debantsa and Cam Boozer, all of whom are younger than Ace. And the reason is similar, they play with bigger motors/more intensity, are more physical and are better defenders. Now some of it could be they are more developed at this stage because they all play against better competition, but as I mentioned they are all younger than Ace, so it’s hard to stay who might have a higher ceiling.
I have to be honest, I still don’t believe it. And I’m not doing the whole we’re Rutgers, when will the other shoe drop thing. It’s just that we’ve never been in this territory before. I think when I finally see them hit the floor it will become real.
Ace is ranked 3rd behind flagg and boozer won't link the article because it was on 247 but it was about ave Bailey's summer and him outperforming everyone and looking the best while playing with all of those top players at various camps. He was coming back from an injury last year. Even in the game you guys are talking about, yes his team is way better but how can you watch that and say he's heads and shoulders above everyone in that game let alone the nation? Lol I thought trey Murphy Played horribly or something the way you guys were talking..
Yeah, not sure what the venom is all about. We’re just talking about guys who will be playing college basketball next year. Comparing abilities is part of the discussion. Duke always gets theirs but I am more than happy about our class.
Here is the difference between Cooper And Ace. Both of their teams played Cam Boozer’s Columbus team. Flagg’s team beat them by 27, and Ace’s team lost to Columbus by 26. Now I know what you are going to say, Flagg’s team is much better. While that is true, when you look at what happened in both games, Cam Boozer went off against Ace’s team, scoring 40 points. Cam had a poor game against Monteverde on only scored 20 on a poor shooting day. The difference between the two is there is no way Cooper Flagg would ever let Cam Boozer or any other player score 40 points against his team, and he can take an elite talent like Boozer and completely take him out of his game.
Would you say he took trey Murphy out of the game? Flagg plays for Montverde with all 4 and 5 stars for the top like 7 players on that team. Boozer goes to a similar national program type school with 4 and 5 stars. Ace gave all of these teams and kids work. All I'm saying is it's not definitive, flagg may be slightly better I just haven't seen it.
A lot of people feel it is definitive because Flagg is a vastly better defender. Flagg took a weak Maine team and almost won the Peach Jam, splitting games against Boozer’s team. Lots of NBA players came out to watch him.
And many people believe Ace will overtake him for the #1 spot. Ace is already a good defender and has all the tools to be an elite defender. Idk what else you can say flagg does better, they both can do it all. I wish them both luck..
I agree that they are the top 3 but there are some other really good players in this class. VJ Edgecombe is very well-rounded and Tre Johnson, Ian Jackson, and Jalil Bethea are elite scorers. Tre Johnson looked really good yesterday versus Montverde.
