I haven't been to a game since Mangum broke the SEC hits record (2019). Can you still bring a cooler in (we have chairback tickets) and is the box it needs to fit in still the same size?

Yes, I could probably look it up, but I'm lazy and the smartass responses will be entertaining.

Yep, same rules and same boxes. Just dont bring glass bottles. That's about all they check for other than the size.

Boxes say 10x10x10 but they are actually 12x12x12. Ice your beer and put a Walmart bag over the top of it. They will make you open it, as long as they don't see obvious beer your good to go.

Thank you both, gentlemen. I found the cooler I borrowed from my father the last trip. Going to try to get two more, same size, while in town. I know many coolers will fit, but this one is a State one.

Dawgbite, I'm wearing my 17it Cap to Saturday's game. That donation to the board is the gift that keeps on giving, free chat be damned. Although, I do occasionally miss the all white text rallies.

The Igloo quantum 12 is the biggest cooler that will actually fit the box and hold the most beer. Available at any Dollar General and lots of WalMarts for $20. It scrubs the sides of the box but it fits. I can't go to tonight's game, niece is graduating nursing school at the W but I'll be there tomorrow and I'll dust off the white 17 it hat for some double top secret mojo.

I know that in 1990 you cannot sneak a Coors Party Ball in if it only allows the cooler to partially close and the tap is hanging out and you are drunk already...I've heard.

Hadn't thought about a party ball in years. It's sad that today's generation is living in a world without a giant ball of beer in a square box.

That you NEVER had the patience to allow to cool to proper drinking temp! Lotta warm beer drank in Starkville back in the day. These kids probably can't even spin a beer.

I know from 1997 that Jaegermeister is a similar color as a 20 oz Coke and Jim Beam is a similar color to a 20 oz Lipton Ices Tea.

Late nineties pro tip. If you wake up to late to get your Sunday beer in. Buy the cheapest bag of charcoal you can find. Dump it out. Put a case of beer in a garbage bag and put it in the charcoal bag and reseal as best you can.
