Consensus good QB in CFB

Yeah, there's been some in the past. I think @c3o means this year.
Was thinking the same as OP. Keep seeing everyone on here talk about how ****** to average are all these guys like Ewers, Howard, Leonard, Allar, etc. Are Cam Ward and Dillon Gabriel considered good? We all know Shedeur Sanders sucks (according to this board). Has to be someone decent this year, right? Or, is this another one of those, "if they don't play for us, they must suck" kind of things?
I think there are a lot of good quarterbacks I don't see any really great quarterbacks.
Last year's class was pretty exceptional. I think the teams who draft quarterbacks this year are going to have big time projects.
Even the good quarterbacks rush a lot of throws. Don't read very well panic under pressure.Don't take care of the ball. But they're playing on teams with elite talent, and it makes them look better than they are. Put them in the n f l and they will get eaten alive.
Howard looked like the best of the bunch last night minus the one brain fart and he’s not exceptional.
I do actually like Dillon Gabriel despite his last game.

I look at his skill set and think it’s very similar to Caleb Williams……. Not worthy of a first round pick but somebody will probably do it.
By the way, Chubba Purdy took his name out of the portal and is staying at Nevada.

my sense is that blue blood quarterbacks are often overrated. notre dame and penn state's were borderline bad in their game. i thought both howard and ewers were good last night in a defense dominated struggle, certainly better than leonard and allar in their tilt. gabriel is just a good college qb. it ends there.
I think Heinrich Haarberg is a good QB, it’s a shame we never really got to see his big jump in year 2.. instead we got a 7-6 entitled freshman with an arrogant fat ****** and a Mickey Mouse head coach, and the sooner people realize it, the sooner we can get on with making Nebraska Great Again.

That team is putrid. I watched some of a couple of their games. Their O line looked like a D2 line playing against the 95 Husker defense. Chubba has physical talent but he’s had a plethora of arm injuries. One can more objectively say now that he had horrible QB coaching at NU and a horrible OC. Would he have been better IF he had Dana as his OC. Probably.

I’m a devout Christian but I cringe when people invoke the Lord’s name in their business activities. My comment to one business partner was “I think our God has bigger things on his plate than the success of our business”. I’ll pray for other people’s financial well being but not my own. I’ll pray for guidance and health for myself and family.
I’m just glad networks aren’t cutting off those messages like they did Dabo.
