Someone on the AAC board posted a link to how teams and players are doing in conference games. The team stats are as expected with TU middle of the pack but the individual stats have some interesting nuggets such as Shaquille hitting 80% of his FT attempts since conference play started and he is second in assist to TO ratio at 4.3. Full stats can be found at the URL below.

Thanks Nevada. Some interesting info, as you pointed out. Shaq and Woodard have carried us in conference. Also, the stats bear out our horrible production from our bigs. Way down in both offensive and defensive rebounding and blocked shots. Woodard needs to take every open 3-point shot and some when he's pressured. Ha

@TUBballJunkie Just wondering if u have been to a Houston basketball game. Would like to hear a comparison of the experience of going to a basketball game, compared to a football game, considering how low their attendance is in basketball.

And honestly, I can't fathom Houston bball being really well attended absent an Olajuwon kind of team.

This city is SO diverse...international and people with so many collegiate ties outside this city. Getting around is a b!tch especially during rush hour on a weeknight. It's frankly just not worth it unless it's your team, IMO. We will probably just Uber which will be an extra $20 or so but we don't live way out in the burbs. If you're out there? Forget it for a random fan.

Football is different, a big all day outside weekend event. And refs haven't taken over that game like they have bball. That's not good for casual fans. You really have to like bball to make time in your schedule for that two hours when you could just watch at home...there's not really going to be anything about the UH game that would get me there if it isn't Tulsa or OSU. Despite having 7 times as many people, I think Houston has some additional issues that make bball attendance worse than in Tulsa metro.

FWIW, Thunder at Rockets was the most boring bball atmosphere ever back in November.

Well here's an improvement: our $10 tickets are actually $10 flat. No $1 handling fee or $3 for me to print my own flipping tickets at home. Will call and mailed tickets was also free. And most expensive seats are $15 (lower level).

I imagine they still use carbon paper at the Hoff. Does the floor still flood if someone flushes a toilet in the locker room?

Hey, make fun of it all you want but the ticketmaster interface and no fees were both better than our online system.

Good info Nevada.

To date this conference data suggests that "Juice" is the best shooter in the American Conference.

Shaq and Woodard should have a good chance of being first team All-Conference.

Go TU!!!!
