Comparing Leach's stats in year two

I'll try to keep up with this as the season goes, but here is where we are compared to TT and WSU

TT - Passing - 65/95 68% 650yd 325avg 5td 2int Rushing - 65att 183yd 91avg 2td Total Offense - 833yd 416avg 7td
WSU - Passing - 65/103 59% 559yd 280avg 1td 5int Rushing - 45att 127yd 63avg 2td Total Offense - 686yd 343avg 3td
MSU - Passing - 72/96 75% 664yd 332avg 5td 1int Rushing - 24att 87yd 43avg 2td Total Offense - 751yd 375avg 7td

In one of his first two games at TT and WSU his teams had 120yds rushing (only had 7 more 100+ games combined those two seasons)
TT and WSU both had Junior QB's with two full offseasons of work.
You could argue that MSU's passing is either on par or ahead of the curve with Leach's second seasons to this point while the rushing lends itself to some concern. The total offense for WSU was against New Mexico and North Texas while TT was against Auburn and USC.

What I take from this is we are starting a redshirt freshman who should realistically be holding a clipboard for another season, but is still keeping MSU at or above Leach's historic pace. For all the bitching and moaning us fans are doing, we need to take a deep breath and step away from the ledge for now.

The only thing you need to be doing is uploading another picture of that plate you had your steak and asparagus on... My mind is in shambles.

Kind of like what I was saying coming into this season. Nothing we have seen to this point is any different from Leach’s other stops.

If we don’t continue to make strides and have improved numbers over 2020 by year end, then we can get concerned. Until that point, our offense is pretty much a typical early-tenure Leach offense.
