Collier Drops 39 on USF

Napheesa Collier continued her late season surge towards a possible National Player of The Year award, as a sophomore, with 39 points (15-19 FGs, 2-3 3 point FGs), 12 boards, and 4 blocks.

Crystal Dangerfield had 12 points and 9 assists, and as a team UConn had 25 assists against just 4 turnovers. It really does not get much better than that.

Collier is hitting a very high % of her shots, and she seems more resistant to double teams than Samuelson is. In recent games, she has scored under defensive duress frequently, including difficult shots and off balance shots against double teams. She is also collecting wayward entry passes, and doing something with them. She is an extremely polished low post scorer, with good hands, good footwork and great touch off the glass.
