Is he going to run track this year? Weird start on that 40… did he just kick off the wall? Curious what he would run electronically

Not many humans are made with that combo of size, speed and athleticism.

That seems so insanely fast when you talk about cheetah's like that I can't wrap my mind around it...some dude named Usain Bolt ran a 4.22 for his fastest recorded time, so Coleman is movin into his hood if he really thinks he has room for improvement.

If this kid legit has focus and a good head on his shoulders, he can really be a freak and kick some serious ***.

I thought his last post at that facility said it was electronic- if my faded memory serves.
I know the kids fast… but 4.28 legit electronic? Not saying he couldn’t, just quite skeptical of that time. That’s literally world class

4.22 is fastest in combine history, just to inform everyone. But with the kind of start he had, who knows I guess

Quick refresher for all the Hurky lurkers.

The best part of that play is that the Iowa LBer, that those dorks think is a combo of LT, Singletary and Butkus...came up on the play to get Casey, but was sooooo scared that he would get beat to the corner, that he just stopped and sort of jumped.

At the start of 9th grade FB every LBer and DE is taught that if the QB runs to your side (non-option play) you attack the outside shoulder with your hair on fire.

With that kind of speed, I would expect he would have burned every team deep his senior year. What gives?

Not sure. My dad saw one of his games in person and said he was literally unstoppable on defense and special teams. Might be one of those deals where they are triple teaming him or something. And East was never known as a football powerhouse so maybe they didn't have anyone to help him out.

I haven't seen much footage of him other than when he played in that high school all-star game. I have no idea how he wasn't dominant in high school. Everything I saw in the prep and in the game suggested he is the total package. He is faster than probably anyone on the field, he is big, and he catches the ball with his hands. If he has good hands and runs good routes, he can be Calvin Johnson. That would be nice.

They had a pretty legit QB through his Junior year. Watched quite a bit of class A games the last few years. Honestly he was more “noticeable” athletic wise on the hardwood. Probably because he’s put together “different”. Not saying he wasn’t a force on the gridiron. Teams really did simply try and make the Spartans beat them while attempting to keep his effect on the game to a minimum.
On a totally unrelated note, there are finally some decent LPS hoops teams this year. Hopefully that can continue, because it’s been a pretty damn fun year to watch them.

I agree- was gonna add to my post. Even if “electronic,” not sure it’s meeting all the same specs of let’s say a combine 40.
I’m a tad skeptical on the actual number, but just happy we can add a big fast dude to our team.

I found the old tweet saying “laser”

In true Nebraska form, I expect them to put 20 pounds of “muscle” on him. His NFL combine time will be 4.59.

Fabian Washington ran a 4.25 at the NFL combine. 188 lbs at the time.

4.17

Ahman Green (Nebraska) posted a 4.17 back in 1998. Green played 11 seasons for three different NFL franchises.

The four-time Pro Bowler is in the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and is the all-time rushing leader in Packer history.

Others to clock 4.29 are Fabian Washington (Nebraska) in 2005, Lavernanues Coles (Florida State) in 2000, James Williams (Fresno State) in 1990, Gaston Green (UCLA) in 1988 and Jay Hinton (Morgan State) in 1999.

Had a recording of highlight plays on the radio from the years green was in school. It was fun to listen to the announcers voice speed up when he got the ball.

What about Keith “end zone” Jones. The “human blur” ?

Off topic but has anybody been to the Lincoln zoo when they let the cheetahs run ? I have not, but heard there is not much to see because they are just a blur going by.

Coleman is fast. No doubt. But a time that would place him in the all-time top 15 nfl combine? really? Doesn't take much to get Husker nation hard, but give me a break. Damn. 4.28 my ***.

Negative? Yeah maybe. Yeah I was a fellow homer for a long time. Now I want to see results after the ******** of the last 20 years. 4.28 laser? I love the kid, but c'mon man. I am done buying into the **** until I see results. Matt has done everything right so far. I hope that he is finally the one to field something that resembles a football team this year. ( I think that he has a chance.) I am drinking Buffalo Trace by the way. Kool Aid days are over.
