Pike has been out coaching opponents 99% of the time since the restart of big ten play. 1st half and 2nd of the season is #KnightandDay and it started with playing in transition and playing youth/substitution patterns. Amazing job.

Took Murphy out of the game although Oturu did more than usual because of that. Dude hit six 3’s which we can’t really account for.

I like Baker, Mathis, McConnell in a 3-guard lineup down the stretch with Gene at the 4 and either Doorson or Johnson at C. That’s the lineup that will close for us.

Took Murphy out of the game although Oturu did more than usual because of that. Dude hit six 3’s which we can’t really account for.

I like Baker, Mathis, McConnell in a 3-guard lineup down the stretch with Gene at the 4 and either Doorson or Johnson at C. That’s the lineup that will close for us.

Hit 5 of those in the 1st. IIRC He had 46 points on us in 3 halves at that point. Did a GREAT job of cooling him off in 2nd half.

I saw Baker covering Kalschuer a lot in the 2nd half after having to sit out most of the 1st with his early 2 fouls. Did Mathis also cover him some too? Huge key to the win was shutting that guy down in the 2nd half.

Yes, I thought the first half wasnt that good of a job by Pike struggling with the rotation and not having anyone who would step up to cover Kalschuer...also Baker had two fouls but its obvious he needed to play

Agreed. Pike made terrific adjustments at halftime by making sure Kalcheur didn't go off again. Yes he made his 6th 3 but that was all in the 2nd half. Also, our bigs did a great job on Murphy (only 9 points) and our freshmen did a great job on Coffey who only scored 8 points.

1. didn't double when Murphy got the ball in the low post
2. went extended minutes with a terrible lineup (entire 2nd team) How do you take Baker and Eugene out at the same time? A lineup of kiss and issa.

I like that lineup better too. Amazed Harper gets minutes at expense of McConnell.

If Dude = Kalschuer then this is correct. If Dude = Oturu, then this is wrong although he had a heck of a game and will be a real problem in the future.
