I didn't see it, but if it happened, well that would be indicative of a program that is out of control. Totally ridiculous and embarrassing to the University.
It was right after OSU stole the ball and nobody hustled down the court. OSU missed the lay up but since nobody hustled down court OSU got the rebound and the outback. Miles called timeout.
I remember that play. On the topic of hustle, there were quite a few plays like that. I noticed one play where two Buckeyes (coming off five straight losses themselves) dove on the court while nearby Huskers did not with the play ending with the Buckeyes getting the ball.
This effort thing is all on Miles in my opinion. If you have a star system where certain guys get away with stuff that role players would get benched for, that effort and team chemistry does suffer. It's just the way it is. Sure maybe the top players have tired legs from logging huge minute totals all season or maybe they are banged up. But it also could be a deal where they know they don't have to hustle to stay on the court so they conserve energy. And they conserve energy because they know that they have to stay out there. Or some guys get lazy. Whatever the case, Miles has to manage the team. To say his team is "soft", at this point doesn't help matters. Miles made his team soft.
I would be frustrated as well. Had he stayed at Butler he may have been named HC there. Instead, he wasted years under Miles.
Ok? Just simply pointing out who the OP was referring to, wasn’t implying it was his fault in any way. Not sure how you got that from my post.
Not my point. I was just making a snarky comment about Lewis’ actions
