Funny to me that in all they’re talking about players betting and determining outcomes, unless I missed it, they’ve mentioned no word about referees being involved. Like a horse with blinders on. Look the other way.

Exactly... if players are betting, you know refs are and matter of fact they have been a long time and have been caught doing so in the past.

With the tremendous increase in and availability of gambling, the point I thought was the effect of $$$ on mid-major kids who see the big NIL$$$ some get that they don't. Love of $$$ exceeds love of the game, obviously. It is very enticing ...

Nobody wants to let that cat out of the bag. The NBA had a couple more for sure, but they rushed to condemn and blame Tim D. and act like he was a rogue agent. Then they swept it under the rug. They even offered the investigating agent a job as head of NBA security.
