Cliff Pick and Roll Defense

Just horrific that’s what led to the comeback he kept over committing and then Harrar rolled to the basket and everyone else had to rotate leaving them wide open from 3 I don’t understand our coaching of big men Myles used to do this and was always caught out of position in the pick and roll

PSU is a great pick and roll team. They did this to a lot of teams. Glad Harrar is gone.

We changed our pick and roll defense a few games ago after we got torched by Michigan’s PnR game. Previously, our strategy was for the guard to go over the pick, but that was resulting in a lot of opposing players getting free looks into the lane.

But I noticed a few games ago, the strategy changed, and now our center was hedging and doubling on the screen. It worked against Indiana, and it worked for for first 30 minutes today.
