Hurt? Depressed? I don’t know but playing terrible on both sides of the floor right now.
He is not hurt. Teams have figured out that if you keep him away from the rim he will not score, he cannot create his own shot. Also I think he feeds off and gets some of his energy off his dunks. Take the dunks away and he looks out of it on the offensive end of the floor.

A portion of Cliff’s problems is that the guards are forcing the ball to him too often. Even when he was 100% he couldn’t handle some of their passes. Also he doesn’t have enough moves to drive with three guys standing in front of him no matter how close to the basket he is.
Right, so I am surprised that’s Pike’s strategy. He’s gets the ball too far away to do anything with it except get stuck behind the hoop on the baseline when he drives

Cliff must refuse to get suckered on help hedging off a pick... or at least get his hands up to stop passes over his head to the cutter.

If he would get hurt on that once.. maybe twice.. then fake the help and bounce back to intercept the pass that might put an end to it. I cannot believe he/we got hurt on that in both halfs.

On O.. there were several times where an easy alley-oop top him was there and out players missed it... once.. Mag just put up a horrid shot instead. Hyatt missed an opportunity for this as well. others too.. though they were more closely guarded.

But if you are Cliff and you do the right things and don't see the ball when you worked for an advantage.. that can get to you. Ideally, it shouldn't.. and Cliff should keep working on O.. but he is only human. The worst thing is that when he finally gets a touch he feels the need to force a shot. And that's on the whole offense.. and Coach Pike.. as well as Cliff. They all allowed the conditions that lead to that moment.

Cliffs roll gravity must not be forgotten either. Reason why we are able to get so many midrange shots is cause bigs have to stick on Cliff.
No one on this board thinks like this. Because they are not coaches, luckily! Like Painter said, if you listen to those guys you’ll be sitting with them!

What ann awful thread, with some awful responses.
We are seeing posters call multiple players a weakness on the team.

This after a road win

McConnell plays tough D
Cliff a good defender and rebounder

The team played well enough to win with great poise after the NW run

I thought we would lose and did not give the team the credit for playing with poise,

I thought we would fade at the end under the pressure of the loud crowd

This is the team that gets it done this year

He got the tie up at the end for us tonight. Might be struggling offensively but still making plays. Were you also one of the guys who said Cam wasn’t b10 material when he struggled.
Cliff was much better in the 2nd half, with lots of rebounds, 2 blocks, altered a few more and got that big tie-up. Wish he could get going more on O though.
