Tough loss at Iowa and Pursue coming up. In between was the weakest team in the league you crushed on their own floor. This game was always destined to be closer than thought. It’s a game you win any way you can and move on.

Hats off to Pike and the guys for getting it done.

I'm so glad we won but Christ, we got lucky. I mean REALLY lucky.

We needed to hit 3 out of our last 4 treys and grab 2 offensive rebounds while also getting Nebraska to miss a wide open 3 and get multiple stops in a row after not being able to get ANY stops for what seemed like 10 minutes. If any single one of those things doesn't happen, we lose.

Statistically speaking, that might have been a 1 in 50 result. Maybe the sports gods are finally not hating on us. At least not as much??

But we won and by Wednesday after we beat Purdue all we will remember is that we got a W in a game would have definitely lost in years past

Sometimes you have to find a way to win. Imagine way back in the opener if we lost to Bryant. This whole thing wouldn’t be happening

Well, it wasn’t as improbable as Iowa’s prayer corner bank shot last year, but yeah we stole one.

How is playing tough D, getting blocks and rebounds, and making shots considered “lucky?”

It's about time we were getting the breaks. Even though I know each game is an independent event, we still deserved to be on the other side of the ledger.

Do you call it luck for the other team when we lose a close one? This team is still learning how to win and progression is not linear.

I think there are a couple things to consider about this game.

1)We did play well for most of the game, had a sizable lead early in the 2nd half, and then closed the game well, yes Nebraska had a big run in the 2nd, but it's not like Rutgers was flat from the get go, or for the majority.

2)Nebraska is not an untalented team, and their struggles this season are very much like the struggles of other teams with talent who just can't gain traction. I feel I recognize this more and more, in every sport. Imo, it makes for an interesting discussion, how teams find ways to win, both on a game to game basis, as well as over long stretch of games, vs teams that do not.

It wasn’t luck. Those kids battled and played hard and have worked their asses off to be in position to hit shots and gets stops when it counts.

They are a talented well coached team who found a way to win on a day when they didn’t have their best stuff. That’s what winners do.
