Things are getting worse. The Levit twins will ensure nothing will go against the grain for Kaisers master plan.

I hate to say it, but I was wrong about the Kaiser College Kangaroo mascot. Apparently we’re giving a nod to history for our mascots.

My understanding is that Levit will not be considered for the permanent role and that a nationwide search will be conducted in due time.

So frequently, TU will announce someone high up in the admin as taking a leave of absence for an extended period of time. In Clancy’s case, it may be true he is doing so for health reasons. BUT, I have been at TU when several of these LOAs were announced and within 2-3 months after, they announce the individual won’t be returning to the university and wish him/her well.

If it’s true so do hope they find someone who is both strong academically, a strong leader, strong enough to stand up to Levit, and understands the benefit that D1 athletics has on a campus community as well as it being a way to keep alum engaged with the University.

Not sure I've ever seen a newspaper article announcing a guy will be out for just "a number of weeks".

https://www.tulsaworld.com/news/tu-...cle_27eea59e-402a-5ec0-9006-31fd64a62ffe.html
A friend of mine who is an administrator at TU said they all got the e-mail on Friday and the "number of weeks" thing is a quote. It is what the university released. Now my friend did not know about the "not able to return" part of it after some time has passed. I get the feeling there are people on here who are more connected to that type of talk than what is generally know around the entire campus (although I am sure there is talk). My friend also referred to Levit as the "warm and fuzzy one" quite sarcastically. Apparently the number of people who work at TU between faculty and staff who don't like her is significantly more than the number who do.

Complete conjecture would be some type of serious surgery. Or some ailment that incapacitated at least temporarily.

To be clear this is 100% pure conjecture. No basis whatsoever beyond the release. I have no inside info.

Wish him the best of course.

Or he wants the fudgecicle out in a way that doesn't look like the rats are fleeing. Will be interesting to see if the health scare makes him realize he should spend more time with his family.

There was conjecture back in the summer that he wasn't a true believer in TU Committed.

So the question all of us must ask is this - what would Kaiser do? After all, its clear he is in control and the “board” will do whatever he damn well wants them to do.

So is this the first domino?

The push back has been hard, I can only imagine this will encourage those against the current proposed direction.

No. The academic direction was supported by Clancy but I'm not sure it would have been his proposal if he were in charge of the study. Levit is the driver here and she will still be there and oversee it's implementation. Whether or not it is a long term direction remains to be seen.

He's still at TU but he's no longer VP of Business and Finance. I don't remember what his title is now.
Unless something has changed in the last 72 hours, he was promoted from that position some time ago to executive vice president for finance, operations & administration, corporate secretary and treasurer. He’s the CFO basically. Your message is unclear and may imply to some readers he’s left or been demoted. To my knowledge he hasn’t.

I’m relaying info passed on to me by a TU staff member. He wasn’t sure of the official title but likened it to a COO type. I was in no way implying he wasn’t still at TU...I knew he was.
