Have any of you guys ever received a lump of coal for Christmas or do you know someone who did?

No, but I have purchased a couple of 1 pound pieces of shiny anthracite coal on Ebay. They are actually pretty neat. Have one sitting on my desk, next to a piece of bituminous coal for comparison. You don't see many of those in a law office in Atlanta - clients love to pick them up and compare the two types
