From what I heard on a podcast, China seems to be rebounding (Stop eating freaking bats!!), and that is an indicator that the virus might burn itself out by June?

They are still on a lockdown more severe than what most Americans who are being careful about their outings are going through. Temperature checks everywhere, people having designated times they can go out, etc. There are also major questions about their prisonsreeducation camps and how much they've monitored the spread of the disease there.

But yeah, some of their food markets look more like a up close and personal zoo put together by the Fear Factor producers. But everyone is looking saying how positive the Chinese are being for sending supplies out to the rest of the world at this time. FFS, we wouldn't have this issue if you weren't in denial about the problem and let large parts of your cities be filthier than a Taco Bell toilet.

The level of locked-downed-edness China has implemented is to an extent that very few Americans are apparently willing to tolerate. China is rebounding (assuming we're getting true numbers) because they took drastic steps to stop social interaction. Americans have largely proven we're unwilling adopt the same measures voluntarily.

Why in the world would anybody believe anything that comes out of China right now??? They are expelling all reporters from USA and have always completely controlled the 'message' they hoped to make the world believe. Use the 'gift of wisdom' preacher!

They reportedly had zero new cases yesterday. While this thing is spreading to every corner of the world there isn’t a Chinaman’s chance that not a single soul out of a billion people did not test positive for this yesterday. Unless they only tested people they know are healthy, but China doesn’t believe in propaganda.

I don't believe that it is going to burn itself out by June. 1st, the entire southern hemisphere, which is in summer right now, is covered with COVID-19. Not to mention the northern hemisphere is also covered in the virus. This type of virus doesn't appear to have an issue with heat or lack there of.

Second, areas of china that are under the most scrutiny may have started to develop a localized herd immunization. That combined with them literally welding peoples doors shut to their houses, they are controlling access with a very firm hand.

The issue is not how many people are going to get this thing. It is an issue on how many people get it at one time.

One of three things:
1. They are lying to their people to save their economy
2. They have an antidote since they created it and will share it with everyone else once everyone else’s economy is wrecked.
3. The virus has ran its course over there aided by severe lockdown measures.

I don’t like any of these and I’m ordering a bidet.

What if I told you there were large portions of the population they DGAF about testing or even surviving?

On #2 - you are saying this is a created virus and china weaponized it to ruin the global economy(theirs being affected too then)?

Hmm...if this is what you are saying, then its time to post less and disconnect from the Alex Jones types.

I’m Really not ‘saying’ any of them. I’ve heard all 3 of these theories. I just said I don’t like any of these because even the ‘severe lockdown‘ choice puts responsibility in the hands of certain people that just won’t do it the way it needs to be done; furthermore, if the U.S Tries to force it, who knows what people will do.

You know China’s neighbor North Korea been preparing for this for a long time. They have an uncrashable economy and unless Dennis Rodman had it there were no other visitors to bring it in.

Number one is doubtful. They wrecked their economy already. If they wanted to save it they would have taken the 1-2% hit to their population instead.

Number two would be suicide. They would never be trusted again, the whole rest of the world would go to war with them or demand reparations, and most countries would rather take a 1-2% death rate than be vassal states to a country that unleashed this on the world.

Number three is probably partially true. I do not think it has truly run its course, but they are going to remain on severe lockdown measures for a long time. They will be less severe than what they were on. If you put lockdown measures on a scale from 0-10 where 0 means go wherever you want within legal means and 10 means only go where the government says you can go, then they went from a 3 before the virus to a 9.99 during the lockdown to an 8 now. We've gone from a 0.1 up to maybe a 1, where following the government's recommendations as if they were laws would put you at maybe a 4.

The Chinese want #3 to be touted because it gives them cover from an international perspective to monitor and control their population. The problem is that all the monitoring and controlling did not do a damn thing to stop the virus from getting out in the first place.

I now get what you meant- 1 of 3 is what's happened and time will tell.

I thought it was the least likely of the 3 but I didn’t think it was an outlandish possibility because the odds of no new cases in a country of a billion people is less than 1 in a billion. Now if you use common sense you know they are still having new cases but if you believe their numbers it does make one wonder.
