This morning I started the day at my hotel for breakfast. It is 15 minutes south of Nashville in Brentwood. Several tables of Huskers, we did the GOOO BIGGG RED cheer. It was fairly chilly today, high of 50 and some wind. Assuming it doesn't rain tomorrow, what I consider excellent football weather. We hit the park this morning where the Parthenon replica is. Lots of Huskers there seeing the sights. Then we went downtown where they have seven blocks of Broadway blocked off for a street fair. Lots of food and a big stage where bands played. Lots of scarlet there too. Then we went northeast to Andrew Jackson's plantation to take the tour and here again, many groups of Huskers. I can see why local merchants like having Nebraska come to town for bowl games. Everybody I talked to feels optimistic NU will pull it off. But then, I guess a person doesn't travel far and spend a bunch of money thinking we will get shellacked, so I suppose my polling was biased. I think our fans will show pretty well in numbers at the game tomorrow, seems like a lot of us are here.
