Convince me the entire athletic department in Waco isn’t cheating.

Roy Williams retires and is venerated after a huge cheating scandal goes entirely unpunished.

Bill Self given a lifetime contract while the NCAA spins their wheels.

Kelvin Sampson takes Houston to the final four after an entire career of cheating at different schools.

Yes, look at the SEC Elite paying football players and nothing ever happens to them.

Drew has assembled quite a team. No idea if he is a cheater or not but at least the coeds
in Waco don’t have to hide in their rooms for fear of being assaulted like they did under Briles and Bliss.
Self, Williams and Sampson are all perfect examples of the NCAA doing nothing.

Boosters need to open their wallets and start buying Nebraska elite recruits. The self-reporting nature of the NCAA makes rule enforcement a joke. Auburn bought Cam Newton's dad a new building for his church. Doesn't Nebraska care about the quality of church buildings, too? It would be nice to have Cam Newton running around the backfield in Husker red, not Auburn blue.

The boy scout approach isn't working. Nebraska loves to think it is squeaky clean, which it isn't, and in the end all we have gotten is a losing record. I'd much rather have Nebraska being attacked by the sports media for being a bunch of thugs, while celebrating another national championship on "O" Street, than staying out of the news with the worst team in the FBS. Winning is more fun. And no one remembers who got into trouble in Lincoln in 1994.

I think you are making a number of assumptions out of frustration.

Drew is known as a pretty big cheater but with that said, the rules are stupid.

If someone wants to pay a kid, who cares? If some booster wants to feel more connected to the program by paying a kid cash...fine.

Now, the fake classes and crap like that, that should not be an NCAA thing that should be a school thing and should be handled however the school sees fit. Suspension, expulsion whatever.

If it is true that cheaters prosper, I guess we can safely assume we don’t cheat?

no 5 star recruits on baylors squad. a lot of 4 stars though. 4 star upperclassmen.
Drew recruits with religion. So does Dabo in football. It works.

Dabo has 15 - 5 star players - over the last 4 classes. All of the classes have been ranked in the top 9, and as high as number 2. It is a whole lot more than religion that brings them in.

It's a good thing sports boards aren't subject to libel laws.

I'm not aware of Drew's program having been shown to have cheated at anything. Perhaps some of you have evidence?

The reality is that he's a damn fine coach at what could be the next basketball powerhouse of the southwest.

Drew and Mulkey got caught using the phone too many minutes while recruiting. The ncaa came down on Baylor in like 2011/12 or around there. They got penalized for what Sampson got in trouble for at Indiana. Now if you just pay your players it doesn’t seem to matter as much as how many phone minutes you use. Probably because you can track minutes easier than saying, that was LSUs coach or Arizona coaches voice on the phone saying pay the kid his money.

how can neb ever hope to compete doing it the right way when they are in a division with such renegade programs like Wisconsin, NU, Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue and Illinois

when will the program finally realize they have to start bending the rules if they ever hope to finish above 5th in the lawless big ten west in football or have a chance to compete for 12th or 13th place in basketball

Even if you get caught you can be right back up again in no time. Look at PSU, OSU, USC and all the SEC teams that have had penalties but are right back in no time. We seem to be playing by the rules and are weaker for it.

People were like "It might take PSU 20 years to recover, and that might not even be enough time"

Nebraska still makes the news with the worst team in college football. Problem with paying in Lincoln is husker fans would be doing the self reporting on message boards.

I’m hoping this is sarcasm. Have you followed or even attempted to follow an SEC team? All of the schools are in little towns and the message board traffic is ridiculous. And, they literally tell on each other and nothing gets done about it.
