Lol I was done with the game thread yesterday. That must be why I didn’t see it. I give game threads attention up through the day after. After that I have moved on
I don’t think the exhibition had anything to do with it, I think he made his decision before the exhibition.
He wasn't going to see the floor this season likely, so he said screw it. Such is the way these kids think now.
Not really. Haggerty beat him out easily like we said, he wasn't going to ever play here most likely.
Simple math says some kids are always going to sit on the bench. Kids don't have patience. Even with 12 scholarship players like TU has now, you are going to go with a 9 maybe 10 player rotation at the most. When the season gets going, it is going to be a 7 to 8 man rotation, perhaps 9.
Even with Willis temporarily out, Gipson was the 11th man before deciding to leave. 12th man when you count Ari Seals.
There is a reason scholarships in basketball were cut from 15 in early 80's to 13 a while later. A lot of unhappy guys on the bench.

Bill Self just laughed when Kansas self-imposed a scholarship reduction of 1 or 2. They never play more than 9.
