Charles Cooke was in for a visit in offseason as potential transfer, he wound up at Dayton and is doing quite well so far this early season. Had 22 tonight vs IOWA. 4-6 from 3

I know he was really interested in coming back to NJ, but a poster saying it was mutual that it wasnt a right fit... Just don't understand, he is from NJ, 6-5, proven scorer and shooter, big guard/wing, how could RU not do all possible to try And seal him up? Ample playing time was available, so unless RU told him otherwise or that they didn't intend on winning this year, hard to figure out

These are the types of transfers we need since we are incapable of recruiting...just another frustration with the program

I remember him. I don't think we offered. Based on what I read on the board, we butchered this.
Awesome. We suck

If memory serves we elected for Ryan Johnson over cooke, who wasn't known as a shooter despite averaging around 15 points per game for James Madison....yes we desperately need wings who can score....

Cooke wasn't truly interested in RU after the visit...Dayton won the recruiting battle for the transfer. Not going to get them all, fortunately we got Johnson for next year to help out. We need players for sure, but I would've rolled the dice on Otis Livingston a year later over Cooke. RU eventually needs to land some 4 year players that are not all from the Parochials.
