I'm going with my son & buddy. Have to figure there being a TON of red there. Got a parking pass for the lot by the softball diamond. #GBR

I'm going with a group of 28 and know of another group of 10. Coming from Chicago in a party bus, so don't expect to get to tailgate until 5:30/6. I've talked to their ticket office and they said you can openly carry drinks anywhere around the outside of the stadium. Please open this link and you will see a map with parking and other info. Pretty much any of the lots you can tailgate. If you want can set up the night before at most lots or just join one, as overall friendly fan base for both teams.

They also serve beer in stadium. They will basically do anything to fill the seats including giving free tickets to students.

Should be exciting to watch the first road victory of the Frost era and watch the demise of the Lovie Smith regime.

My son (a Husker fan) is going to the game with a bunch of his Illinois buddies and I think he said his parking pass is $65.00 but that is a reserved spot for tailgating

Grange Grove: Big area right in front of the stadium, live music and beer tents...Free to get in. When we went there I walked up to a group of college guys that brought a keg...it was a blast.

KAMS...amazingly bad college bar...it is fun!

Joe's Pub...day of the game it was packed (that was a 2:30 game) though, and tons of fun.

I’ll be there. Going to see the Cardinals beat the Cubs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Then rush over to Champaign to see the Huskers beat the fighting Illini on Saturday night.

The worst hands down road experience in the BIG. Town and campus is brutal and the game experience is just as bad. Good points: always lots of parking and tickets available.

Really? That is interesting! I have been to Minny, Michigan, (MSU but not for a game, so I won't count that), NW, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois and Purdue.

I would rank them like this...From best to worst

Nebraska
Purdue (We did the breakfast club thing at the bars and it was a riot)
Illinois (Grange Grove is okay, but the bars before the game were a blast)
Wisconsin (Just hit bars up...it was pretty fun)
Northwestern (Went to a Husker party thing it was cool)
Minny (Super lame)
Michigan (This was horrible)

A quick update from Chicago. Yes, I did get to see the Cardinals win last night. But almost as importantly, there were already a lot of husker fans here and also in attendance at the baseball game. One tour group had 50 people here.
